The Night Boston Became Home
How a midnight piano sketch became Adrian Vale's love letter to a city.

It started with a rented upright, a window that wouldn’t close, and the hum of the city after rain. Adrian had arrived in Boston for a season; he stayed for the sound.
“I wanted to write the feeling of finding your street in a new city,” he says. “When the lights come on and you realize you know where you are.”
The piece was recorded in a single take, later softened with distant room tone and the faint bleed of traffic — not to document, but to remember.
